Beginner Project MCP (Session 2): Supabase from Zero to a Real Business Backend

Do you want to build a real backend with Supabase and understand why it’s become one of the most widely used platforms for modern products?
This workshop is the second session of a 3-part series where we go from 0 to 1: in Session 1 we covered the Model Context Protocol (MCP), in this session we’ll build a complete Supabase project for a real business use case, and in Session 3 we’ll create an MCP on top of it to connect any AI interface to our backend.
In this session you’ll learn:

• What Supabase is and how it works: Postgres at the core, overall architecture, and how it fits into real products.
• Key ecosystem tools: Auth, Database, Storage, SQL Editor, auto-generated APIs, Edge Functions, and how to manage everything from the Dashboard.
• Security and permissions: a practical introduction to RLS (Row Level Security), policies, and best practices.
• Project build (real business case): we’ll design the data model (tables + relations), define core flows, and leave a backend ready for product usage.
• Session 3 preparation: we’ll make the project “MCP-ready” so an AI can query data and perform controlled actions.

Requirements: bringing a laptop is recommended. No expert level required—this is focused on understanding it clearly and leaving with a working project.
