Beginner Project MCP (Session 1): From Protocol to Real Use Cases

Have you heard about MCP and want a clear, practical understanding of why it’s changing how we connect AI to real products and data?
This workshop is the first session of a 3-part series where we’ll go from 0 to 1: we’ll start by understanding the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and we’ll end by building our own Supabase project and an MCP to connect any AI interface to a real backend.
In this session you’ll learn:

• What MCP is and what it solves: how it standardizes the connection between AI models and external tools/data.
• How it works under the hood: key concepts (client/server, tools, resources, permissions) and best practices.
• Real business use cases: practical demos (e.g., querying data, task automation, support, analytics, operations) to see MCP in action.
• How it maps to real products: what we’ll need to integrate MCP with a Supabase project in the next sessions.

Requirements: bringing a laptop is recommended. No expert level required—this is focused on understanding MCP clearly and seeing it applied.
