Are you one of those who shares code by email or Drive when working on a project? Have you heard about GitHub but never really understood what it is or why it could be useful to you? Change that and learn to work with version control like a professional.
In this workshop in collaboration with Grupo de Usuarios de Linux (GUL), we’ll learn what Git is and why it’s used. Key concepts such as commit, branch, merge, and pull request and how to collaborate on projects through GitHub
We’ll finish with a simulation exercise of team collaboration, where you’ll put everything you’ve learned into practice: you’ll create a repository, manage branches, resolve conflicts, and upload your contributions to a remote repository, essential skills for working in any company in the future.
